A Perfect Park City Summer Day

One of the great things about Park City in the summer time is there is so much to do! To help you navigate all the options we have put together a perfect summer day itinerary to help you plan your trip.  Comment below if you have any questions. Enjoy!

Start your Day at Park City Base Area

Breakfast:  Start your day at Jupiter Java. Mom and Dad can get their coffee fix and the kids will love the fresh baked pastries. Jupiter Javais located right in the village at the Park City Base Area and is a perfect place to kick off your day.

2 Options for Mid-Morning Activity:

Mid-Morning: (Kids under the age of 10) Head over to Crescent Lift. This scenic chairlift ride will allow you to sit back and enjoy the ride. Once you get off at the top make sure you take a moment to take in the views. You can hike along the groomed access roads and learn about our mining heritage. Keep an eye out for wildlife and wild flowers. Once you have finished exploring return to Crescent Lift and enjoy the views on the way back down to the base area.

Mid-Morning: (Kids over the age of 10) Head over to Legacy Sports and get your family geared up with rental mountain bikes. Once Legacy Sports has you outfitted head to Crescent Lift which will haul you and your bike up the mountain. Don’t forget to sit back and enjoy the ride up! Be sure to grab a trail map on your way up as the trail options are abundant. Mojave to Mid-Mountain to Jenni’s is an awesome route and a great way to get back to the base area.

Lunch: At this point, your family is starting to get hungry! Crescent Burger is located right in the middle of all the summer activities and a great option for a family lunch. They have made to order burgers, hand cut fries, hand dipped corn dogs and homemade shakes. Enjoy lunch outside at a picnic table right where you finish your bike ride or scenic lift ride.

After Lunch: After lunch there is still so much to explore. Check out the Legacy Launcher to work on your flips using a safety harness.  Don’t miss Utah’s longest Alpine Coaster which reaches speeds of 30 mph as it coasts more than a mile down the mountain. And cap it off with a ride on one of the longest Alpine Slides in the world. There are four tracks to choose from so you have a new option each time you ride.

Mid – Afternoon: Head over to Canyons Village for some more fun to extend your afternoon. Take a scenic Gondola ride up to the Red Pine Lodge area. Once at the top of the Gondola you can head over to the Lookout zip line. This will fly you across the canyon between Lookout peak and Red Pine Lodge, spanning 2,111 feet. This is one of the most popular and exciting summer activities.

Dinner: After an activity packed day there is only one way to close your day. Once you get back to the bottom of the Gondola head straight to The Farm Restaurant. The Farm has a creative menu that focuses on regionally sourced ingredients, and is rustic yet refined. This is a family friendly environment that is sure to please everyone in the family. Make sure you catch the mountain sunset before you end your day.
