Family Ski Vacation: A 5-Day Itinerary

Park City is the perfect mountain vacation for all families.  Village activities within the resort, a historic western town, and a great mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain means that there is something to do for everyone.  This itinerary shows just how many things you can do, plus more, while on a 5-day ski vacation at Park City Mountain!

Before Arriving

The right lodging on your family ski vacation makes all of the difference.  The official properties at Park City Mountain include slopeside hotels, townhomes, and multi-bedroom condos.  Once you’ve decided on the dates during your stay, head to our website to book your lift tickets.  Booking online in advance will guarantee the best prices for lift tickets and allow you to save up to 20% on rental equipment.

To make the most of your time on the mountain, reserve a private guided tour for your family before arriving.  Our world-class instructors can show you the best areas on the mountain for your family’s ability level, the finest places to eat on the mountain, and give an insider’s scoop on all that Park City has to offer.

If you like staying up to date with new terrain openings, download the free EpicMix app.  By downloading EpicMix, you’ll be able to share your photos taken by our professional on-mountain photographers and see which family member has skied the most terrain!  You’ll also want to check out the events calendar for daily activities and events at both base areas.

Day 1 – Private Family Lesson

Give your family the energy they need with a hearty breakfast from our Alpine Breakfast Buffet in the Grand Summit Hotel before picking up your rental equipment for the week.  Head over to any of our EpicDay Express windows to pick up your family’s tickets and then meet your instructor to start your private lesson.

The lunch menu at the Red Pine Lodge serves food for all ages.  By the end of the day, you can celebrate a great start to the vacation by grabbing drinks at either base area while the kids enjoy nightly village activities.

Have lunch at Cloud Dine, at the top of Dreamcatcher lift, for quality food and breathtaking views.  Then savor the night with dinner at The Farm, in Canyons Village, serving locally sourced meats and ingredients.  Retail outlets in Canyons Village are just outside to shop in after your meal.
