Summer Shredding in Park City's Bike Park
— Posted by Park City on April 4, 2017
Spring is in the air! Being a lover of mountain biking, my thoughts automatically turn to riding. Park City is one of the best places to call home if you are a biker, with over 400+ miles of singletrack at our fingertips winding through beautiful alpine forests. A place I love to frequent in the summer is the Park City Bike Park in Canyons Village. Faithfully maintained by a dedicated crew of passionate, full-time Park Crew employees, this is by far the most well-manicured park in the local area.
Wide trails and perfectly designed features for fast paced descents through the warm summer air provide perfect opportunities to quickly improve downhill skills and timing for any kind of rider. The best part is that you can ride a chairlift up to access multiple laps throughout the day. Multiple days in the park will change your riding, guaranteed. For the more advanced riders, a run through the GoPro Double Down trail is a must. Weaving in and out of the forest with challenging features and berms, this trail will get your heart pounding.

With a pass to the Bike Park, either day or season, you also have full access to the lift-served riding from the Park City Base Area. Early in the season, that means a ride up the PayDay chair. Later, as the season progresses, Crescent lift takes you higher up the mountain to access even more of the trails from the Park City area. A classic trail for a cross country experience accessed from the top of the PayDay lift, is the Mid-Mountain trail. This trail spans across the entire mountain and will help to access trails higher up the mountain or allows for a journey along the mountain along the 8000’ level.
Canyon Mountain Sports and Legacy Sports have you covered with rental equipment. You can rent a bike and safety equipment for any kind of mountain biking at one of those locations from our knowledgeable staff.
So whether new to the sport, or a long time enthusiast, Park City has you covered.
See you on the trails!
